Overtime Distribution. TCO's will be required to work overtime as assigned. When practicable, the Village will endeavor to distribute overtime work to available, qualified TCOs. If an employee demonstrates that he did not receive overtime for which he was entitled under this Section, then the remedy shall be to compensate the employee in compensatory time or overtime pay at the rate of time and one half. If a mutual agreement cannot be reached on the method of payment then the employee shall receive one and one half times his regular rate of pay he would have been entitled to if he had worked. When practicable, the interest of public safety, the foregoing overtime procedure shall be administered by the Village in such a manner as to avoid having individual employees work more than twelve (12) consecutive hours. Thus, the Village retains the right to limit an overtime assignment to an individual employee to a maximum of four (4) hours immediately preceding or following their regular shift.

Overtime Distribution. Shifts and extra assignments may be required filled by either a full-time or part-time officer. The above shall not apply to the continuation of shift. It is understood and agreed that an employee working on a job at the end of a shift upon which job overtime is required shall be given the first opportunity to work such overtime notwithstanding any provisions of this Agreement to the contrary. The City in assigning overtime shall ask down the overtime list by each classification necessary to perform overtime work and shall require overtime up the seniority list, least senior employee first in the classification necessary, until a full complement of employees is secured. Overtime Distribution. TCO's Overtime within each classification in a Department will be distributed fairly and without prejudice. If an Employee is inadvertently missed in their proper rotation, they will be eligible for the next scheduled overtime, until their hours are equal to what they would have been had they not been missed. In no event will there be payment for time not worked. Where overtime is required immediately following a regular shift, Monday to Friday inclusive, such overtime will be offered to the necessary number of Employees who are working on the particular job requiring overtime. Where overtime is required on Saturdays Sundays, such overtime will be offered to the necessary number of Employees who are at work on the regular shift when such overtime is organized and who the least accumulated o overtime.
