OVERTIME CHART. LETTER 1 This is to confirm the understanding and agreement reached at recent contract negotiations between Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation and the Sikorsky Teamsters Local No. 1150 of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, concerning Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S). The Company and the Union agree to continue to work cooperatively and proactively to provide a safe work place for its employees through assessment of environmental, health and safety concerns, and ongoing communication to enhance safety awareness. In furtherance of these objectives, the Company recognizes occasions will arise, when it is mutually beneficial to the parties, to involve the Union’s EH&S Xxxxxxx in the prevention and/or resolution of a variety of EH&S issues as well as participation in EH&S activities and initiatives. The Company will identify those issues, activities or initiatives it deems appropriate to seek the involvement of the Union’s EH&S Xxxxxxx. Further, the Company will be receptive to and consider requests from the Union, or the Union’s EH&S Xxxxxxx, to otherwise participate in issues, activities or initiatives for which the Company has not previously requested his/her services. In addition, the parties agree the Manager – Health & Safety and the Union EH&S Xxxxxxx will conduct a monthly safety “walk–a– round” in an effort to resolve any open issues and to increase employee safety awareness. As necessary, but not more frequently than once a week, the First Shift EH&S Xxxxxxx will, upon request, meet with the director EH&S or his/her designated representative to discuss unresolved EH&S issues. It is also understood any health and safety procedural changes will be communicated to the Union EH&S Xxxxxxx in advance of implementation. The Union’s EH&S Xxxxxxx will be paid for such time in accordance with the provisions of Section 6.32, Section 4 provided the Company approves such requests. This Letter of Agreement does not amend or modify the provisions of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.

  • Overtime Policy It shall be the policy of the City to avoid overtime work except when absolutely necessary and on the advance authorization of the appropriate supervisor, except that in an emergency such authorization may be granted subsequently.

  • Overtime Work A. Overtime pay is to be paid at the rate of one and one- half (1½) times the basic hourly straight-time rate.

  • Overtime Pay a) A casual employee shall be entitled to overtime pay in accordance with Article 27.05 in the following circumstances:

  • Overtime Scheduling (A) It is the intent of the City, consistent with efficient and effective operation of the Division of Police, to distribute in an equitable manner, all pre-scheduled overtime among all members. Recognition will be given to the qualifications of the members and the requirements placed on the City by any third party funding sources. Any complaints by members that pre-scheduled overtime is not being equitably distributed among all qualified members as described above may be brought by the Lodge directly to the Chief's attention at Step 3 of the Grievance Procedure and shall also be a proper subject for discussion in a Labor Relations Committee meeting. Inability to work a prescheduled overtime assignment due to illness or death in the family or injury will not require the member to charge such absence against sick leave or injury leave.

  • Overtime Assignment A. In institutional settings when the Agency determines that overtime is necessary, overtime shall be offered on a rotating basis, to the qualified employees who usually work the shift where the opportunity occurs. If no qualified employees on the shift desire to work the overtime, it will be offered on a rotating basis first to the qualified employee with the most state seniority at the work site. When there are no volunteers to work the overtime as outlined above, and/or where an emergency exists, reasonable overtime hours may be required by the Agency. Such overtime shall be assigned, on a rotating basis, first to the qualified employee with the least state seniority at the work site. This policy shall not apply to overtime work which is specific to a particular employee’s claim load or specialized work assignment or when the incumbent is required to finish a work assignment.
