Outside Teaching. A certified, tenured teacher shall be considered for a leave of absence without pay for up to one (1) year to teach in an accredited college or university or as an exchange teacher or overseas teacher.

Outside Teaching. A leave of absence without pay may be granted for up to two (2) contract years for an employee who joins VISTA, or the National Teacher Corps, or who serves as a teacher in any domestic or overseas program or institution. Upon return from such leave, the employee shall be placed at the same position on the salary schedule and maintain the same fringe benefits as (s)he would have accrued had (s)he taught in the system during such period.

Outside Teaching. 22.01 An employee must have written approval from the Xxxx to engage in teaching activities outside the Employer which conflict with the Employer's interests. Permission must be obtained from the Xxxx on an annual basis.

  • Outside Work All work necessary to the assembling, installation, erection, operation, maintenance, repair, control, in- spection and supervision of all electrical apparatus, devices, wires, cables, supports, insulators, conduc- tors, ducts and raceways when part of distributing systems outside of buildings, railroads and outside the directly related railroad property and yards.   • Substitute Teaching An adjunct faculty member who is interested in a substitute teaching assignment may be assigned to teach as a substitute in a course section for which the adjunct faculty member is qualified to teach. Each semester an adjunct faculty member may submit to the appropriate Xxxx a written request, on a form provided by the College, which shall indicate his/her willingness and availability to act as a substitute teacher and a reliable means by which to contact the adjunct faculty member on short notice. An adjunct faculty member who is selected to substitute teach shall be paid in accordance with Article 8.4.

  • NON-TEACHING DUTIES A. The Board and Association acknowledge that a teacher's primary responsibility is to teach and that his/her energies should, to the extent possible, be utilized to this end.
