Outside Appointment. The Sheriff may fill a vacancy, subject to this procedure, from outside the bargaining unit if no employee has attained a passing score for the examination or the vacancy is unable to be filled because employees subject to this procedure have failed to take the examination or declined advancement.

Outside Appointment. Notwithstanding other provisions of this Section 5, the anniversary of an employee who is appointed to a classified position from outside the County's merit system at a rate above the minimum salary for the employee's new class, or who is transferred from another governmental entity to this County's merit system, is one (1) year from the first day of the calendar month after the calendar month when the employee was appointed or transferred; provided, however, when the appointment or transfer is effective on the employee's first regularly scheduled work day of that month, his/her anniversary is one (1) year after the first calendar day of that month.
Outside Appointment. The Sheriff may fill a vacancy subject to this procedure from outside the bargaining unit if no employee has attained a passing score in the case of the Sergeant roster or there are no qualified Corrections Deputy classified candidates on the Police Deputy or Police Deputy (Paramedic assignment) rosters for promotion or the vacancy is unable to be filled because employees subject to this procedure have failed to utilize the procedure, or declined advancement. If an employee declines a promotional advancement, the employee’s name shall be removed from the promotional roster involved.

  • SECTION 2 - APPOINTMENT 2.1 Employee is appointed as a technical officer currently assigned as the Executive Assistant effective August 4, 2020, on the terms and conditions set out in the Agreement.

  • Initial Appointment Upon initial appointment, a bargaining unit employee shall be issued a letter of offer, signed by the xxxx/director, citing specific terms and conditions of employment and his or her initial assignment of responsibilities. The University may enclose informational addenda, except that such addenda may not abridge the employee's rights or benefits provided in the BOT-UFF Agreement or BOT- UFF Policies.   • Adjunct Appointments The use of adjuncts at a university shall, upon the request of the UFF Chapter representatives, be a subject of consultation under the provisions of Article 2.1, Consultation.

  • Acting Appointments If an Employer appoints a Teacher to act in a promotion position for ten or more consecutive school days, the Employer must pay the Teacher the rate prescribed for that position.
