Out of Town Jobs. When an Employee is directed by his Employer not to return from the jobsite each day to the free zones about Vancouver or Victoria, the Employee shall be considered to be working on an out- of-town job.

Out of Town Jobs. The Employer will provide reasonable transportation to and from the job; pay for meals and other necessary expenses during regular working hours; and pay for travelling time at the regular hourly rate. Where an Employee is required by their Employer, due to the location and duration of the job, to remain overnight out of town, the Employer shall provide for the cost of the room plus meals effective November 1, 2010, broken down as follows: Breakfast $ 8.00 Lunch $12.00 Dinner $20.00
Out of Town Jobs. (1) Travelling costs shall include allowance for first class meals and lodging i n the area where the Employee is working, the arrangements for which shall be at the discretion of the Employer, or alternatively, such meals and lodging w i l l be provided at a camp in accordance with camp conditions approved by the Building Trades Council. Each Employee who works out-of-town for a period exceeding five working days on one job w i l l be permitted one (1) weekly telephone call to his regular place of domicile as listed with his Employer, paid for at night rates, to a maximum of three (3) minutes duration, by the Employer. Such calls to be paid for by the Employee who w i l l receive reimbursement upon presentation of a receipt to his Employer. No payment w i l l be made in respect to return transportation or travel time an Employee quits when having completed less than fifteen (15) working days. Out of Town Jobs. 17.01 The employer will provide reasonable transportation to and from the job; will pay for traveling time at standard hourly rates. If traveling time be overnight, the employer will provide a sleeping berth and/or hotel room and the employee shall be paid only for regular working hours spent in traveling at a standard hourly rate. Management will make every effort to distribute the out of town work equally amongst those employees who are able to perform the work to minimize the employee’s time away from home to not more than five (5) days in a thirty (30) day period.
Out of Town Jobs. A. It shall be the sole prerogative of the Employer to rule on whether or not a particular job shall be classed out-of-town. If so, then this Article shall apply; if not, other appropriate Articles shall prevail.

  • CONTRACT WORK HOURS AND SAFETY STANDARDS As per the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (40 U.S.C. 3701-3708), where applicable, all Customer Purchase Orders in excess of ,000 that involve the employment of mechanics or laborers must include a provision for compliance with 40 U.S.C. 3702 and 3704, as supplemented by Department of Labor regulations (29 CFR Part 5). Under 40 U.S.C. 3702 of the Act, each contractor must be required to compute the wages of every mechanic and laborer on the basis of a standard work week of 40 hours. Work in excess of the standard work week is permissible provided that the worker is compensated at a rate of not less than one and a half times the basic rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours in the work week. The requirements of 40 U.S.C. 3704 are applicable to construction work and provide that no laborer or mechanic must be required to work in surroundings or under working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous or dangerous. These requirements do not apply to the purchases of supplies or materials or articles ordinarily available on the open market, or contracts for transportation or transmission of intelligence.
