Other Paid Leaves. A. Bereavement Leave Per OFLA, sick time shall also be used to cover absences up to two weeks for each death of a family member, as defined below, not to exceed 12 weeks in a fiscal year. If the member does not have enough accrued sick time to cover the allowed absence, the balance of time may be taken as leave without pay (LWOP).
