Other Lay-Off Weeks. The Producer shall also be permitted to schedule up to four weeks of lay-offs in the course of a year counting from the first paid public performance provided the Actors are paid not less than the applicable minimum per diem and are given written notice at least two weeks in advance of the anticipated lay-off. In addition, health contributions shall be paid and vacation and sick time will continue to accrue.

  • Lay-Off An employee who has one (1) year or more of continuous employment and who is laid off is entitled to be paid severance pay at the time of lay-off.

  • LAY-OFF & RECALL These provisions shall be utilized to protect regular employees, wherever possible, from loss of employment, with the exception of employees who are dismissed for cause.

  • Approved Leave of Absence With Pay During Vacation When an employee is qualified for bereavement leave, sick leave or any other approved leave with pay during her vacation period, there shall be no deduction from the vacation credits for such leave. In the case of sick leave, this section shall only apply when the period of illness or injury is in excess of two (2) days and a note from a physician may be required. The period of vacation so displaced shall be taken at a mutually agreed time. An employee intending to claim displaced vacation leave must advise the Employer and provide necessary documentation within seven (7) days of returning to work.

  • LAY-OFFS The Parties recognize the substantial effort and cost involved in recruiting workers from out of Province to the Project but it is also accepted that workers within the local unions from Alberta expect consideration in terms of job retention on Alberta projects.   • Utilization of Sick Leave with Pay Temporary employees who have earned sick leave credits in their temporary appointment shall be eligible for sick leave for any period of absence from employment due to any of the following reasons: • illness; • bodily injury; • disability resulting from pregnancy; • necessity for medical or dental care; • if the employee is a victim of domestic violence, harassment, sexual assault, or stalking; or the parent or guardian of a minor child or dependent who is a victim of domestic violence, harassment, sexual assault or stalking, pursuant to ORS 659A.270 through 659A.290; • attendance at an employee assistance program; • exposure to contagious disease; • for the emergency repair of personal assistive devices which are medically necessary for the employee to perform assigned duties; • attendance upon members of the employee’s or the employee’s spouse’s immediate family, or the equivalent of each for domestic partners, (parent, wife, husband, children, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, grandchild, or another member of the immediate household) where the employee’s presence is required because of illness or death; • parental leave. The employee has the duty to insure that they make other arrangements, within a reasonable period of time, for the attendance upon children or other persons in the employee’s care. Certification of an attending physician or practitioner may be required by the Agency to support the employee’s claim for sick leave if the employee is absent in excess of seven (7) days, or if the Agency has evidence that the employee is abusing sick leave privileges. The Agency may also require such certificate from an employee to determine whether the employee should be allowed to return to work where the Agency has reason to believe that the employee’s return to work would be a health hazard to either the employee or to others. (See Section 4 for FMLA and OFLA.)

  • Loading on Annual Leave During a period of annual leave an employee will receive a loading calculated on the rate of wage prescribed by subclause 7.1.3. The loading shall be as follows:

  • Other Leave with Pay The Employer may grant leave with pay for purposes other than those specified in this Agreement, including military or civil defence training, and emergencies affecting the community or place of work.

  • LAY-OFFS AND RECALLS In the event of a lay-off, employees within the affected level shall be laid-off in reverse order of their bargaining unit seniority. An employee to be laid-off will be allowed to bump any employee with less seniority who is in an equal or lower level, provided that the senior employee is qualified to fill the position of the displaced employee.

  • Lay-off Notice In cases of lay-off, the Company will give as much notice as possible.
