Other Departments. At least one (1) Course load each of the sessions. If the Course load is assigned after the beginning of the session, in order to be recognized for the purposes of the probationary period, it must represent at least seventy percent (70%) of the Course loads specified in a) and b) above.
Other Departments. Employees working on the Day Shift and the Afternoon Shift will rotate weekly. Employees working on the Night Shift will do so on a steady basis, and will not rotate with the Day Shift and the Afternoon Shift. In the event that the Company is unable to fill the required positions on the Night Shift on a steady basis, then the Company and the Union will meet to discuss a temporary solution to staff the Night Shift, until such time as the positions can be filled on a steady basis. The above shift scheduling applies to individual machines and classifications and/or a full scheduled shift.
Other Departments. An employee who has received an official notice of layoff or is separated from the service due to layoff under this Article may file a request with any other department and shall be appointed to any permanent vacancy in the same class from which he/she was laid off if he/she meets the necessary qualifications for the job. When more than one employee requests restoration under this subsection to the same vacancy, the employee selected to fill the vacancy shall be the employee with the most seniority. Also see 8/9/1.
Other Departments. An employee who is laid off may file a request, during a five (5) year period from the date of layoff, with any other department and shall be appointed to any permanent vacancy in the same classification from which he/she was laid off if he/she is qualified and capable of performing as determined by the Employer, providing that no other employee has restoration rights to such vacancy.
Other Departments. Currently employed temporary, part-time faculty 24 members may apply for unassigned hours which are available in other 25 departments or subject areas and for which they possess the 26 minimum qualifications, or their formally granted equivalent. Other Departments a) Work schedule will be posted on a monthly basis at least thirty (30) days in advance in a location in full view of the employees. b) If evening and weekend work is offered to regular employees, it shall be offered in order of seniority to employees that regularly perform the work required. In the event that there are insufficient volunteers, the work shall be assigned in reverse order of seniority.
Other Departments. The Instructor shall fill out the application form by indicating her or his course choices in order of preference. Furthermore, she or he shall indicate the maximum number of courses she or he wishes to teach. When the Instructor is applying for a course which she or he has not previously taught at the Centre, she or he shall also upload an updated curriculum vitae.
