Common use of Other Coverage Clause in Contracts

Other Coverage. During any period that a Participating employee has been in receipt of Short Term Disability, Employment Insurance Sickness Benefits, or Worker’s Compensation, and that employee continues to be totally disabled, that employee’s Extended Health Care, Life Insurance, and Dental coverage will continue in force for a maximum period of one (1) year. An employee who is totally disabled beyond a 12 month period and has maintained employee status will have his Life Insurance maintained in full for as long as he remains totally disabled or until age 65 or earlier date of retirement, at which time the coverage will reduce to $5,000.
