OTES Teachers. For OTES teachers, the District will utilize the Board's Standards-Based Teacher Evaluation System set forth in the Appendix which has been mutually developed by the parties. All matters contained within the System shall be considered grievable under the grievance procedure contained within this contract. Any revisions to the Board's Standards-Based Teacher Evaluation System must be bargained prior to implementation in accordance with law.

OTES Teachers. The Board-adopted Standards-Based Teacher Evaluation policy is incorporated into this CBA as Appendix E-1 and the Evaluation Forms are available through eTPES. Consistent with Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (“OTES”), the parties affirm that value-added and other student growth measure data derived from assessments taken in one school year shall be combined with performance ratings that are assigned in the next school year to achieve an annual summative evaluation rating.
OTES Teachers. In accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 3319.111, the Board's adopted standards-based teacher evaluation policy, mutually developed by the parties, is included in this Master Agreement, by reference, for application to OTES teachers. All matters contained within the Board policy on OTES shall be considered grievable under the grievance procedure contained within this contract. The Board policy and guidelines will be provided to all OTES teachers in the North Ridgeville Teacher Evaluation Handbook which will also be accessible to bargaining unit members online. The Association and the Board agree to utilize the Local Appraisal Review Committee (LARC) for the purpose of recommending revisions to the Board's standards-based OTES teacher evaluation policy and related guidelines, and to regularly review the effectiveness of the policy and its related procedures and process, including forms, for the evaluation of OTES teachers in the District. In addition, the LARC will make recommendations for adoption by the Board and ratification by the Association regarding evaluation language and procedures for Non-OTES members. Any revisions to the Board's standards-based teacher evaluation policy must be bargained prior to implementation in accordance with law.

Related to OTES Teachers

  • New Teachers No new teachers shall be hired for a vacancy for which a teacher on unrequested leave is certified.

  • Mentor Teachers A. A Mentor Teacher shall be defined as a Master Teacher as identified in section 1526 of the School Code and shall perform the duties of a Master Teacher as specified in the code.

  • Newly Hired Teachers Newly hired Teachers shall be paid in Category A1 until such time as they provide proof of a different category classification.

  • Retired Teachers The BOARD may employ and assign retired teachers as day-to-day substi- tutes for no more than one hundred school days during the school year and shall pay such teachers the rate paid to day-to-day substitutes. The BOARD shall compensate such retired teachers in accor- dance with Appendix A-1L. Such retired teachers shall not be eligible for any other benefits provided to bargaining unit employees under this Agreement. The BOARD agrees that the employment and as- signment of retired teachers shall not result in the displacement of any appointed or assigned teacher.

  • Classroom Teachers b. School counselors

  • Teachers An individual who is a resident of a Contracting State immediately before making a visit to the other Contracting State, and who, at the invitation of any university, college, school or other similar educational institution, which is recognised by the competent authority in that other Contracting State, visits that other Contracting State for a period not exceeding two years solely for the purpose of teaching or research or both at such educational institution shall be exempt from tax in that other Contracting State on his remuneration for such teaching or research.

  • Participating Teachers A participating Teacher is a unit member who receives assistance and/or coaching to improve instructional skills, classroom management, knowledge of subject, and related aspects of teaching performance. There are two (2) categories of Participating Teachers.

  • Itinerant Teachers a) An itinerant Teacher is a Teacher who is assigned duties by the Employer in more than one school in a day.

  • Non-Tenured Teachers A leave may be granted to a non-tenured teacher by action of the Board of Education, subject to all the conditions applicable to a tenured teacher. However, for a school term to count toward the attainment of tenure, the non-tenured teacher must work at least one hundred twenty (120) full time employment days. A school term that is not counted toward attainment of tenure shall not be considered a break in service for purposes of determining whether the non- tenured teacher has been employed for the period of time necessary to attain tenure, provided that the non-tenured teacher actually teaches or is otherwise present and participating in District 34’s educational program in the following school term. The granting of maternity leave to any non-tenured teacher shall not constitute a precedent for the granting or withholding of leave to any other non-tenured teacher. Each request shall be judged on its own merits and shall be within the sole discretion of the Board. Additional conditions or restrictions may be established for any such leave, provided nothing herein shall be construed as requiring any non-tenured teacher to apply for such leave or accept the conditions established therefore.

  • Tenured Teachers Tenured teachers will receive formal evaluation conferences at least by the end of their fifth year in Harford County and at the minimum rate of once every five (5) years thereafter. All observations of a classroom performance shall be conducted openly.
