Operator Systems. 10.2.1 Definition. Operator Systems is the Network Element that provides operator and automated call handling and billing, special services, end user telephone listings and optional call completion services. The Operator Systems, Network Element provides two types of functions: Operator Service functions and Directory Assistance Service functions, each of which are described in detail below.

Upon request, BA will provide to Sprint, in accordance with the terms, conditions and prices of a written agreement to be negotiated by BA and Sprint: (a) directory assistance; (b) IntraLATA call completion services; and/or, (c) electronic access on a listing-by- listing basis to BA’s directory assistance data base to permit Sprint to provide intraLATA directory assistance to Sprint Customers.
