Opening of Bid. Bids will be opened and read at the time and place stated in the Invitation to Bid. The contents may be made public in accordance with Section 2.2-4342 of the Code of Virginia. The officer or agent of the City, whose duty it is to open them, will decide when the specified time has arrived. No responsibility will be attached to any officer or agent for the premature opening of a bid not properly addressed and identified.

Opening of Bid. ⮚ The Tender Opening Authorities will open all the Bids received, at the scheduled date and time and this could be viewed by bidders. In the event of the specified date of Bid Opening being declared a holiday for the Tender Inviting Authority, the bids will be opened at the appointed time and location on the next working day. ⮚ In all cases, the amount of bid security and validity of the bid shall be scrutinized. Receipt of original instrument of bid security shall be confirmed by the Tender Inviting Authority. ⮚ The Bidders’ names, the Bid prices, the total amount of each Bid, the presence or absence of Bid security, and such other details as the Tender Inviting Authority may consider appropriate, will be recorded by the Tender Inviting Authority on.   • Opening of Bids a) The Bids shall be opened by the bid opening & evaluation committee on the date and time mentioned in the NIB in the presence of the bidders or their authorised representatives who choose to be present.

The representative attending the opening of the tender on behalf of the tender should bring with him a letter of authority from the tenderer and proof of identification.

  • FORMAT AND SIGNING OF BIDS 20.1 The bidder shall prepare one original of the documents comprising the bid as described in Clause 13 of these Instructions to Bidders, bound with the section containing the Form of Bid and Appendix to Bid, and clearly marked “ORIGINAL”. In addition, the bidder shall submit a replica copy of the bid clearly marked “COPY OF ORIGINAL”. However, in the event of discrepancy between them, the original shall prevail.
