OF WORK AND OVERTIME. The work week shall consist of forty (40) hours per week the normal work day shall consist of eight (8) hours per shift exclusive of an unpaid period. The work week shall consist of five (5) days. Maintenance Sanitation are excepted from the hour provision. It is understood and agreed that the provisions of this Article are intended only to provide a basis for calculating worked and shall not be considered a guarantee as to the hours of work per day or the days of work per week. However, the Company will endeavor to provide a normal work week to as many employees as possible, as business conditions permit. Authorized hours worked in excess of the normal work week or the normal work day as outlined in above shall be at time and one-half the regular time hourly rate. There shall be no duplication or pyramiding of overtime payment nor shall the same hours worked be counted as part of the normal work week and also as hours for which an premium is payable. Consistent with efficiency of operations, there shall be a twenty (20) minute paid period in each shift, and a ten 0) paid rest period in each completed half shift. for every two (2) hours of worked immediately before or after his scheduled shifts, an employee is entitled to an additional ten paid rest period. All hours worked on the 6th day shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 the regular rate. All hours worked on the 7th day shall be paid at double (2) the regular rate. However, any hours worked on the 6th and 7th day which are a part of the basic work week will be paid at regular rate. Employees scheduled on a four (4) day workweek shall be paid one and one-half (1 times the regular rate for all hours worked on the fifth (5th) scheduled day and double (2) the regular rate for all hours worked on the (6th) scheduled day. Hours worked on the seventh (7th) scheduled day, in excess of forty (40) hours worked for that workweek, will be paid at one and one-half the regular rate. All overtime is voluntary. If an employee is missed under Article and/or he will be offered an equivalent of hours within seven (7) calendar days, over and above the normal overtime.
