OCCUPATIONAL SENIORITY. The seniority that begins to accrue from the date a Flight Attendant is placed on the Company payroll as a Flight Attendant from which date seniority shall continue to accrue during the Flight Attendant's period of service. OPEN TIME: All pairings (or pieces of pairings) that are not covered. PAIRING: A series of flights which are published by the Company and intended to be flown by a single crew of Flight Attendants. PREMIUM PAY: Additional compensation that is paid over and above a Flight. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (RR) FLIGHT: Any flight to a destination for which passengers and Flight Crews are subject to governmental entry and/or exit requirements.

RESCHEDULE: Any change in a Flight Attendant’s original pairing after check-in caused as a result of irregular operation. A reschedule may include different pairings, partial pairings and additional pairings. A reschedule is not a move up.
OCCUPATIONAL SENIORITY. A. IFC Occupational Seniority shall be the sole basis used for bidding for and awarding of monthly Bid Lines, Reserve, furlough and recall, Base transfers, R&R, vacation bidding, charter and other flying (excluding flying that requires separate qualifications; e.g., VIP charter, MINT, LOD).

  • Occupational Health County and Union agree that the maintenance of employees' physical health is a basic component of satisfactory work performance, that an ongoing program of medical examination and review of medical conditions as it relates to performance of assigned duties will be developed, and that the parties shall meet and confer on development of this program and endeavor to reach agreement during the term of this Agreement.

  • Super Seniority In the event of a layoff, the Plant Chairperson, Committeepersons and Stewards shall have super seniority.

  • Classification Seniority Classification Seniority" is defined as the length of service in a specific job classification within the bargaining unit, beginning with the date an employee starts to serve a probationary appointment. Classification Seniority shall be interrupted only by separation because of resignation, discharge for just cause, failure to return upon expiration of a leave of absence, failure to respond to a recall from layoff, or retirement.

  • Company Seniority An employee's total accumulated time of employment with the Company which has not been interrupted by a continuous period in excess of six (6) months.

  • Equal Seniority If two (2) or more employees subject to layoff have equal class seniority, the determination as to who shall be laid off will be made on the basis of the greater hire date seniority, and if that be equal, then the determination shall be made by lot.

  • Bargaining Unit Seniority The length of continuous service in a position or succession of positions within Bargaining Unit Two (2), beginning with the last date of hire or transfer into the Bargaining Unit, as defined by seniority credits.

  • Role of Seniority A reduction in force shall be based on seniority within a department, discipline or specialty, provided that the senior staff have appropriate qualifications and are providing satisfactory service. Whenever possible, an employee shall be given an opportunity to serve the College in some other capacity for which he/she is qualified. This clause applies to all employees, including those on leave at time of reduction of staff.

  • Occupational Health & Safety (a) It is a mutual interest of the parties to promote health and safety in workplaces and to prevent and reduce the occurrence of workplace injuries and occupational diseases. The parties agree that health and safety is of the utmost importance and agree to promote health and safety and wellness throughout the organization. The employer shall provide orientation and training in health and safety to new and current employees on an ongoing basis, and employees shall attend required health and safety training sessions. Accordingly, the parties fully endorse the responsibilities of employer and employee under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, making particular reference to the following:

  • Use of Seniority Seniority shall be used to accommodate employees' preferences where the collective agreement so provides.

  • SENIORITY 10.1 Seniority shall be defined as an employee's uninterrupted length of continuous service as a bargaining unit member. Each employee’s seniority date shall be computed from his/her first workday on the job as a bargaining unit member. Substitute employees shall not accumulate seniority and are not subject to any of the terms of this Agreement.
