Observations and Evaluations. 7.01 Any classroom observation or evaluation of a Unit I member will be made in accordance with the following provisions:

Observations and Evaluations. A. The person will be observed and written evaluation reports will be in accordance with Board policy governing teacher evaluation.
Observations and Evaluations. Either the Principal or Superintendent will make informal observations on an ongoing basis, through visits to classrooms and group counseling sessions. Feedback from these observations may result in “Informal Observation Notes” that will be shared with the teacher or counselor but will not be entered into the unit member’s personnel file. Either the Principal or Superintendent will conduct a formal evaluation of each unit member every year. A master copy of all evaluation forms will be provided to the Association. Each non-tenured unit member will be evaluated two (2) times per year. Tenured unit members will be evaluated one (1) time per year. A copy of the written evaluation will be provided to the unit member and the unit member will be given the opportunity to discuss the evaluation within fifteen (15) school days of the written evaluation date. A copy signed by unit member and evaluator shall be placed in the unit member’s personnel file.
Observations and Evaluations. 12 The purpose for observations and evaluation is not only to observe the quality and quantity of the work 13 of the employee, but to evaluate and guide the employee in the performance of the employee’s duties in 14 a positive and helpful manner. 16 The immediate supervisor or designee will be responsible for the evaluations which will occur at least 17 once in the employee’s work year, except that new employees shall be evaluated twice during their first 18 year of employment. The supervisor will use the standard district form for the evaluation.
