Observance of Religious Holidays. The observance of religious holidays will be permitted and provision made for time necessary to attend religious services.

Observance of Religious Holidays. A. To the extent that such modifications in work schedules do not interfere with the accomplishment of the Agency’s mission, an employee whose personal beliefs require that the employee abstain from work at certain times of the workday or workweek must be permitted to work alternative work hours so that the employee can meet the employee’s religious obligations. The hours worked in lieu of the em- ployee’s normal work schedule do not create any entitlement to premium pay (including overtime).
Observance of Religious Holidays. If an employee’s religious beliefs require observance of a holiday not included in the observed holiday schedule, or if the employee desires leave for a reason of faith or conscience or an organized activity conducted under the auspices of a religious denomination, church, or religious organization, the employee may request the day off using paid leave or leave without pay. The employee is entitled to a maximum of two (2) unpaid religious leave days in a calendar year. Requests must be submitted to the Operations Manager for approval at least two (2) weeks prior to the requested day. Employees shall be allowed leave of absence with pay and without loss of seniority for a maximum of three (3) days per calendar year to those who observe religious holidays not recognized in Article 14.01. These days may also be used for employees who attend Indigenous observances. A leave form must be completed.
Observance of Religious Holidays. 6.2.1.1.7 Personal necessities including family related matters that occur during the workday or professional growth to attend conferences, travel/study programs, or other professional activities. A unit member may not use more than five (5) days per year of sick leave for this purpose.
Observance of Religious Holidays. Employees desiring to observe major religious holidays of their respective faiths shall deliver their written request for leave to participate in such observances to the President/CEO or her delegatee at least one (1) week before each major religious holiday.
Observance of Religious Holidays. The parties agree that the Employer will consider requests to exchange paid holidays for other days off in observance of religious holidays. Request to use an alternate stat day must be made in writing 7 days prior to the stat holiday. The Employer will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate the request and will respond at least 14 days prior to the requested religious holiday. In the event there are more applicants than can be accommodated, seniority will be the deciding factor. Requests for religious holidays will take precedence over other banked time requests. Time limits for use of banked time as set out in Article 13:02 will not apply to these religious holiday requests.
