Objectives and Goals. As part of this agreement, programs will be conducted virtually, from approximately the first week of March 2024 to the fourth week of March 2024. This program will be available to middle school students (grades 7 and 8), on a tiered scale based on student enrollment, with enrollment numbers and programmatic fees finalized three days before programming begins, according to the tiered scale found in Section 3, Roles and Responsibilities, Subsection 4, Payment for Services . Xxxx taught for 15 years before venturing out as an entrepreneur. His Computer Science certification included a Business and Technology focus and eventually he added his Masters of Education. Xxxx’s last four years in the classroom were at The Xxxxxxx School for gifted learners. Teachers were encouraged to think audaciously while also meeting students where they were. In that balance, Invest in Your Future was born. The program has since been updated and modified to fit an online classroom structure. The course started when Xxxx was asked to design his dream course in so much as it connects to what students most need today and his subject. Building skills are vital to a young person’s growth, but sometimes they are taught in a vacuum. How they are integrated with each other and to multiple subjects and industries and student’s strengths is where the most fascinating and foundational ideas are found. Using emerging technologies from today students need to create a company that takes place 20 years in the future. They will pitch their business to a group of investors and showcase the website they designed to represent their ideas. Instead of presenting their final analysis and efforts to a singular teacher students have the opportunity to be evaluated by their peers and a small group of adults with wide ranging experience, interests, and skills. Circumventing the “worksheet to wastebasket” paradigm, this program provides authentic feedback and incentives to help the students REACH their potential. The parties will agree upon the workshop dates and the duration of the workshop will not be more than eight sessions, 90 minutes per session, in addition to the total number of individual assignment or portfolio review/coaching sessions included in the contract, which shall be optional to students and offered as an opportunity to get more direct support for those who wish to receive it. Objectives and Goals. Many PTAs now have more provisions aimed at promoting environmental goals. These clauses are usually located in the preamble or objectives section of the agreement and call for cooperation between the parties to accomplish the objectives. Additionally, some provisions acknowledge the parties' right to regulate, which is meant to supplement these goal-oriented provisions. This trend of including more provisions related to environmental objectives is becoming increasingly common. Additional provisions may urge or obligate the participating parties to guarantee that their domestic environmental legislation offers significant levels of protection and that such protection is continually enhanced. Some PTAs take this a step further by advocating for regulatory collaboration or harmonisation in the realm of environmental rules and regulations. The most frequent form of environmental-related provisions entails a balance between environmental and trade or investment objectives, with the exception clause being the most prevalent form of this form. This clause enables parties to deviate from the PTA's obligations regarding environmental issues, including animal or plant protection, conservation of natural resources, etc. Some agreements also include an explicit provision for investment. An increasing number of PTAs include provisions that prohibit weakening environmental protection for the sake of promoting trade or investment. These provisions are often accompanied by clauses that require parties to enforce environmental laws effectively and scientifically assess the agreement's impact on the environment. Some agreements allow for the liberalisation of the trade of environmental goods. Occasionally, developed and developing nations negotiate PTAs with provisions requiring parties to consider science when implementing environmental policies and assessing environmental impacts. There is a growing body of agreements that enforce obligations pertaining to particular environmental concerns, with significant variations in terminology and extent across these agreements. A number of the most prevalent provisions concerning fisheries mandate that the involved parties perform fisheries management. A growing proportion of agreements, apart from those pertaining to sustainable forest management, biodiversity, water management, renewable energy, and energy efficiency, also incorporate provisions for the protection and cessation of the illicit trade in endangered species. Objectives and Goals. This dimension involves four core criteria: clarity, measurability, effectiveness and compatibility. In order to be able to judge whether a policy package is good practice or not the objectives and goals must be clear. Indeed, the importance of setting clear policy objective and targets at the outset of the policy packaging process was stressed throughout Deliverable 1 (TSU Oxford et al., 2010, p. 101). In this context, an objective refers to a general aim of a policy package, such as reducing the adverse environmental impacts of freight transport across the Alps. Goals – or targets – on the other hand are considered to be more concrete and, importantly, measurable. For example, a particular goal might be a 20 % modal shift from road freight within a decade. Such measurability is crucial if the effectiveness of policy packaging efforts are to be meaningfully evaluated. Effectiveness of a package per se is naturally a highly important criterion for identifying best practice; the achievement of stated goals provides a strong indication of overall package performance. Finally, packages may be evaluated with regard to their compatibility with other policy objectives and goals from secondary policy domains. For example, at an EU level, packages showing sensitivity to parallel financial, environmental and equity considerations may demonstrate elements of best practice.
