O B J E C T I V E S. 3. provide structured guidance in the steps of decision making To conduct a systematic review of randomised controlled trials and communication of their informed values with others involved in the decision (e.g. clinician, family, friends). Decision aids can be used before, during, or after the clinical -en counter to enable patients to become active, informed participnats. Decision aids are being developed in several centres, primlayr in North America, Europe, and Australia. Since 1999, there has been a rapid proliferation of patient decision aids; in 2006, deciiosn aids from large scale producers were accessed over 8 million tisme (X’Xxxxxx 2007). In response to concerns about variability in quality of patient decision aids, the IPDAS Collaboration areched evaluating the xx xxxx of decision aids for people facing dift treatment or screening decisions.
