Number of Days Granted. When a death occurs in his family, an employee is entitled to a leave of absence without loss of salary, according to the following situations: SITUATION PERIOD OF ABSENCE Spouse, common-law spouse, child, father, mother, brother, sister: 5 consecutive days Father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in- law, sister-in-law and any relative who permanently resides with the employee, whether in the employee's home or in the home in which the employee permanently resides: 3 consecutive days Employee's grandfather, grandmother, spouse's grandfather, grandmother, and grandchildren: Day of the funeral One day shall be added if the funeral takes place further than 250 km away from the employee's area of residence.

  • Number of Days In computing the number of days for purposes of this Agreement, all days shall be counted, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays; provided, however, that if the final day of any time period falls on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday on which federal banks are or may elect to be closed, then the final day shall be deemed to be the next day which is not a Saturday, Sunday or such holiday.

  • Overtime-Eligible Employees Unpaid Meal Periods The Employer and the Union agree to unpaid meal periods that vary from and supersede the unpaid meal period requirements required by WAC 000-000-000. Unpaid meal periods for employees working more than five (5) consecutive hours, if entitled, will be a minimum of thirty (30) minutes and will be scheduled as close to the middle of the work shift as possible, taking into account the Employer’s work requirements and the employee’s wishes. Employees working three (3) or more hours longer than a normal workday will be allowed an additional thirty (30) minute unpaid meal period. When an employee’s unpaid meal period is interrupted by work duties, the employee will be allowed to resume their unpaid meal period following the interruption, if possible, to complete the unpaid meal period. In the event an employee is unable to complete the unpaid meal period due to operational necessity, the employee will be entitled to compensation, which will be computed based on the actual number of minutes worked within the unpaid meal period. Meal periods may not be used for late arrival or early departure from work and meal and rest periods will not be combined.

  • PERFORMANCE PERIOD This Agreement shall be performed during the period which begins Oct 01 2020 and ends Sep 30 2022. All services under this Agreement must be rendered within this performance period, unless directly specified under a written change or extension provisioned under Article 14, which shall be fully executed by both parties to this Agreement.

  • Number of Leaves 12.5.4.1 Annually, an amount equal to 0.6% of the total expenditure listed in the official budget under Certificated Salaries, Monthly Teaching and Variable Teaching + $100,000 shall be budgeted for sabbatical leaves for the life of the contract.
