Notification of Layoffs. The Employer shall provide written notice to the Association and to the employee 30 calendar days prior to the actual layoff. Such notice shall include written reasons for reduction and shall be kept in the individual employee’s personnel file.

Prior to notification of layoff to bargaining unit members who have attained professional teacher status, there shall occur consultation between the Organization and the Superintendent-Director or his designee with the goal of resolving potential disputes concerning the order of layoff.
