Common use of Notification of Layoff Clause in Contracts

Notification of Layoff. Each employee to be laid off shall be given advance notice of the layoff by the appointing authority stating the reasons for the layoff. The notice shall be hand delivered at least fourteen (14) calendar days or mailed at least seventeen (17) calendar days before the layoff.
