Notice to Witnesses. The City Manager shall cause issuance of subpoenas for the appearances of witnesses for the employee upon his/her written request and at the employee’s cost consistent with the requirements of Government Code sections 11450.05 et seq. The City Manager may require such cost to be prepaid and the same shall be limited to the fee and mileage of witnesses as set forth in Government Code section 11450.40. City employees will be allowed to attend as a witness without a loss in compensation.
