Notice of Retrenchment. Before any layoff, reduction, or reassignment is initiated under this policy, the Association will be given a 60 calendar-day notice of such anticipated action. If it is necessary to undertake retrenchment at Northwestern Michigan College, the Associate Vice President of Human Resources will provide notice of retrenchment to those faculty members and librarians who are in positions being considered for retrenchment. Retrenchment can result in one of three actions. The faculty member or librarian may be reassigned, laid off, or receive a reduction of College assignments. The President must approve any retrenchment actions.
Notice of Retrenchment. 50.7(a) All employees in a redundant role will be given the maximum possible advice of likely retrenchment.

Notice of Retrenchment. 23.7.1 Once the consultation process is completed, if retrenchment becomes inevitable, notice of retrenchment by the College may be given to the employee/s affected. The College will formally give 4 weeks’ notice as per ordinary termination described in sub clause 23.2.1, or 5 weeks’ notice if the employee is 45 years old and over and has 2 years service or more. This notice may be given within, and run concurrent with, the notice period in 23.3.2.
Notice of Retrenchment. (a) NAB will provide an employee with 6 weeks written notice of the retrenchment date. NAB will decide whether this period will be worked out or payment in lieu granted either wholly or in part, and will advise the employee in writing.
Notice of Retrenchment. 8.7.1 All employees to be retrenched will be given the maximum practical forewarning of likely retrenchment and notice of the specific retrenchment date or payment in lieu of notice.
