Notary Public Pay. Upon written designation by the appointing authority, the City shall approve payments of an additional seventy cents ($.70) per hour to qualified represented employees for the performance of notary public duties for City business purposes. These represented employees shall submit proof of notary public certification annually in order to maintain notary public payments. The premium pay will be removed when the designation is revoked in writing by the appointing authority and the represented employees will no longer be required to perform notary public duties. Represented employees paid to perform notary public duties for the City shall not perform private notary public duties during City work hours. Represented employees in Xxxxx XX0, XX0, X00, XX0, xxx XX0 shall not receive Notary Public Pay.

These represented employees shall submit proof of notary public certification annually in order to maintain notary public payments. The premium pay will be removed when the designation is revoked in writing by the appointing authority and the represented employees will no longer be required to perform notary public duties.
Notary Public Pay. 5.8.3.1 Notary Public 1 Pay Employees who are employed in positions that are not routinely relied upon for ongoing notary services may be eligible to receive Notary Public 1 Pay. If such an employee is called upon to notarize a document, he or she shall receive pay in the amount of $10.00 for each notarized document. In order to receive pay under this section, the employee must possess a valid notary public certification from the State of California. Any Notary Public 1 Pay earned by an employee will not be included when calculating the employee’s regular rate of pay for purposes of overtime. In addition, Notary Public 1 Pay will not be reported as compensation for purposes of pension benefits.
Notary Public Pay. Upon written designation by their Department Head or designee, the City shall pay an additional five percent (5%) differential per hour to certified unit members for the performance of notary public services that require certification for City business purposes. These unit members shall submit annual proof of certification in order to maintain notary public and services payments. The differential pay will only be paid for hours during which the employee is performing notary services, rounded to the closest quarter hour. Unit members paid to perform notary public services for the City shall not perform private notary duties during City work hours.
Notary Public Pay. The City Manager or his/her designee may designate positions within the City as Notary Publics. Employees who apply for Notary Public may be selected at the discretion of the City Manager or his/her designee if the EMPLOYEE has at least a satisfactory rating on their last performance evaluation and possess the State of California Notary Public Credential. The City shall pay $75/month and the cost to bond employees so designated.
