Normal Workload an average of five (5) three-credit courses or equivalent per year over two consecutive academic years. Members on a Normal Workload will be active and productive in research, scholarly and/or creative activity as described in Article 25.9(f) and (g) and will contribute to University service.

Normal Workload. (a) Faculty members are entitled to have equitable workloads.
Normal Workload. The required teaching load for a full-time faculty member is nine (9) semester hours, except in those instructional skilled-type classes where a contact hour has been accepted as the unit of workload, in each of the two (2) regular Fall/Spring semesters of the academic year. However, with the concurrence of the department chairperson and the xxxx, a full-time faculty member may elect to distribute part of his/her normal workload during the Summer session or the Spring and Summer sessions. Any reclassification of courses or classification of new courses in terms of unit workload will require the approval of the full-time faculty of the affected department and the Administration.
Normal Workload. The normal practice of quantifying faculty work load is by faculty contact hours. The faculty contact hours are the total of the lecture hours and laboratory hours. There are some health science courses where contact hours will not follow the above formula (e.g., clinicals) and will be defined by the Instructional Administrator. Courses outside the normal practice would include Open Entry Internships, Independent Study, and Co-Ops.

  • Normal Work Week The normal work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2) hours, and the normal daily hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours, exclusive of a meal period. The normal work week shall be Monday through Friday and the normal workday shall be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Normal Workweek The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) days, eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. This Article shall not restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.

  • Normal Workday The normal workday shall consist of eight (8) consecutive hours of work within a twenty-four (24) hour period.

  • Normal Work Day The normal work day shall be eight (8) hours and the normal work week shall be forty (40) hours, Monday through Friday, provided however that nothing herein shall be construed as guaranteeing any EMPLOYEE eight (8) hours of work per day or forty (40) hours per week. A single shift shall consist of eight (8) hours of continuous employment, except for unpaid lunch period, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Normal Work Year The normal work year for the Administrator shall be Two Hundred Sixty (260) days between July 1 and June 30 annually which will include all student attendance days and teacher work days. The Administrator shall not be entitled to any additional paid days unless specifically required to work beyond the Two Hundred Sixty (260) day contract by the Superintendent or the Board.

  • Normal Work Schedule 130. Compensation fixed herein on a per diem basis are for a normal eight-hour work day; and on a bi-weekly basis for a bi-weekly period of service consisting of normal work schedules.

  • Normal Working Hours Prevailing Wage Rate Projects: Work performed from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00

  • Workload An employee who believes that her workload is unsafe or consistently excessive shall discuss the problem with her immediate supervisor. If the problem is not resolved in this discussion, the employee may seek a remedy by means of the grievance procedure. If the matter is not resolved in the grievance procedure, it may be referred to troubleshooter who shall:

  • Normal Work Period The normal work period shall consist of not less than eighty (80) hours of work nor more than 86 hours of work and ten (10) work days within a fourteen (14) consecutive calendar day work period.

  • Faculty Workload The workload of faculty includes student advising, maintaining and improving expertise in a discipline and in pedagogy, serving on departmental and university committees, contributing to student growth and development, evaluating student performance, scholarly activities, and service to university and community, as well as teaching and class preparation. Additionally, as a professional, a faculty member shall devote a substantial amount of his/her workload to course preparation, research, the maintenance of professional expertise, innovations in teaching/learning and other similar activities. These endeavors shall comprise the faculty member’s workload.
