Normal Tour of Duty. 12.2.1 Forty (40) hours, consisting of five (5) consecutive daily tours of eight (8) hours each shall normally constitute the work week for all employees.

Normal Tour of Duty. A normal tour of duty shall consist of 14 consecutive calendar days during which a regular full-time employee shall be scheduled for ten 8-hour workdays, eight 10-hour workdays, or six 12-hour workdays plus one 8-hour workday, except during a tour of duty in which a recognized holiday is observed. Subject to Art.IV.E.6, employees may be assigned to work additional hours without the payment of overtime compensation (e.g., due to normal shift rotation).

Selection of such schedule shall be voluntary. If no selection is made, the Company may assign the schedule in the inverse order of seniority. 2.1.3 Scheduled Saturday assignments and split weeks of nonconsecutive daily tours will be maintained at a minimum consistent with the needs of the business. 2.1.3.1 Grievances filed under this paragraph are excluded from the provisions of Article 3, Section 9.

  • Tour of Duty A tour of duty means the authorized and/or approved time worked by an employee during the day, as defined in Articles 15.1, 15.1.1 and 15.4 calculated to the end of the last quarter (¼) hour in which work was performed. If a tour of duty extends beyond 2400 hours it shall be considered as falling wholly within the calendar day in which it started.
