Normal Shifts. (a) The normal hours of work shall be divided into three (3) shifts each day as follows:

Normal Shifts. The District Bus Dispatch shall set shifts within the Transportation sub-unit according to routes and time requirements. In the event there is less than thirty (30) minutes layover time between assignments, an Employee's shift shall continue uninterrupted for such layover time. In addition, the District shall pay drivers for thirty (30) minutes pay per day for the purpose of bus warm-up, cleanup and safety check, etc.
Normal Shifts. The regular starting time of the day shift shall be 6:30 a.m., 7:00 a.m., 7:30 a.m. or 8:00 a.m. at the option of the Employer, the regular starting time for the swing shift shall be between 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. depending on the start of the day shift. The regular starting time for the graveyard shift shall be between 11:00 p.m. and 12:30 a.m., depending on the start of the swing shift, except that at the discretion of the Employer, the first shift may be either a swing or graveyard shift. The foregoing starting times may be changed when mutually agreed to between the Individual Employer and the representative of the Local Union.
Normal Shifts. The District Supervisor of Transportation shall set shifts within the 832 Transportation unit according to routes and time requirements. These shifts will be developed 833 so the driving times will be as close to one and one half (1 ½) hours as possible. These routes 834 will also be equal as possible. Employees will bid on these route assignments according to 835 seniority. In the event there is less than thirty (30) minutes layover time between assignments, 836 an Employee's shift shall continue uninterrupted for such layover time. In addition, the 837 District shall pay drivers for sixty (60) minutes per day for the purpose of bus warm-up, 838 cleanup, and safety check, etc. This sixty (60) minutes is broken down as fifteen (15) minutes 839 for pre-trip inspection/warm-up and fifteen (15) minutes for post-trip inspection/cleanup for 840 both the morning and afternoon routes. Drivers will timesheet extra drive time, beyond their 841 normal two (2) hour shift, required to complete their routes due to adverse or unusual route 842 conditions. 843

Related to Normal Shifts

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Normal Workweek The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) days, eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. This Article shall not restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.

  • Special Shifts When due to conditions beyond the control of the Employer or when contract specifications require that work can only be performed outside the regular day shift, then a special shift, upon three (3) days written notice to the Union may be worked, Monday through Friday at the straight time rate. The starting time of work will be arranged to fit such conditions of work. Such shifts shall consist of eight (8) hours of work for eight (8) hours of pay or ten (10) hours of work for ten (10) hours of pay on a four-ten shift.

  • Additional Shifts 32.1 The Employer is committed to maximising its permanent workforce in line with its occupancy levels. The Employer will always offer additional shifts in the first instance to its permanent part-time staff where practicable. It will then offer additional shifts to its casual or bank staff, where applicable.

  • Twelve Hour Shifts Employees shall be entitled, subject to exigencies of patient care and/or departmental requirements, to rest periods during the shift of a total of forty-five (45) minutes.

  • Normal Hours This article defines what normal working hours will be and is a guarantee that employees will be paid for all of the time that they are required by management to remain on the job.

  • Normal Workday The normal workday shall consist of eight (8) consecutive hours of work within a twenty-four (24) hour period.

  • Rotating Shifts Nurses required to work rotating shifts (days, evenings and nights) shall be scheduled in such a way as to equitably as possible assign the rotation. This does not preclude a Nurse from being continuously assigned to an evening or night shift if the Nurse and the Employer mutually agree to such an arrangement.

  • Hour Shift An eight (8) hour tour shall be inclusive of an unpaid one-half (1/2) hour meal period, and two fifteen (15) minute paid relief periods.

  • Afternoon Shift If a second shift is employed, the hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours of work between the hours of 4:30 P.M. and 12:30 A.M. for which eight (8) hours will be paid and a shift premium of sixty-one cents (61¢) shall be added on to the classified hourly rate.
