Normal Rate of Pay and derivatives of this expression, means the hourly, weekly or annual rate of pay of an employee as defined in the employee’s employment contract, excluding any penalties or overtime payments, but including any allowances that the employee is paid. Where an employee is being paid a rate different from their substantive rate of pay (e.g. higher duty), the normal rate of pay shall be the rate which is applicable at the time.
Normal Rate of Pay. Normal rate of pay wherever it appears in this contract shall mean the hourly rate of pay received during the regular 40 hour work week. Base wage divided by 2,080 hours shall equal the regular hourly rate. The regular daily rate shall be the regular hourly rate times eight (8). The regular weekly rate shall be the regular daily rate times five (5).
Normal Rate of Pay. The normal rate of pay shall be defined to include the nurse’s hourly wage rate (12.1), shift differential when the nurse is scheduled to work all evening or night shifts (14.3), charge nurse pay for those nurses always designated as nurse in charge (14.2), the wage premium in lieu of PTO/EIB accrual for those nurses paid pursuant to that method of compensation (12.4), and the wage premium paid to nurses for currently held nursing certifications identified in Article 14.1. In determining whether an employee works "all evening or night shifts" and whether an employee is "always designated as nurse in charge" as used in the preceding sentence, those criteria will be satisfied if, during the immediately preceding 13 consecutive pay periods, the employee has worked in those respective capacities for at least ninety percent (90%) of his/her actual hours worked. Alternatively, for an employee who had a formal status change (i.e., formal change of shift to evening or nights, or a formal change in status to charge nurse) less than 13 pay periods prior, then that employee’s normal rate will include shift differential and/or charge pay only if the employee worked in those respective capacities for at least 90% of his/her actual hours worked since that formal status change occurred.

  • Rate of Pay a. An Employee who is employed as a teacher teaching on call shall be paid 1/189 of his/her category classification and experience, to a maximum of the rate at Category 5 Step 7, for each full day worked.

  • Daily Rate of Pay In applying these provisions an employee's daily rate of pay shall be the daily rate including career increments at the time of retirement, as provided in the basic salary schedule for the fiscal year, and shall not include any additional compensation for overtime, or other extra compensation.

  • Rate of Pay on Promotion 44.3.1 When an employee is appointed by the Council to a higher classification level in the same group, he shall be paid at the nearest rate in the new classification level which gives the employee a salary increase not less than the minimum increment of the higher classification level to which he is being appointed by the Council. If there is no such rate the employee shall be paid the maximum rate in his new scale.
