Normal Business Day. Monday through Friday inclusive, except for NERC Holidays as defined in subsection 4.1 hereof.
Normal Business Day. For the purpose of this agreement, 0800 hours to 1700 hours is to be considered the normal business day. It is the responsibility and duty of the employee to complete the assignment(s). The times for rest breaks (15 minutes per each one-half of the normal business day) and lunch period (one hour per normal business day) shall be based on organizing and standardizing the normal business day with the understanding that they may be altered due to circumstances beyond control or by the Shift Commander (for example: fire, rescue calls, etc.). At the employee’s option physical fitness time will begin at 1600 hours. Assignments include, but are not limited to: shift briefing of the day’s activities by the shift commander or station officer; inspections of administrative, support, suppression, EMS apparatus, and equipment; training; assigned work schedule; pre-plans; work in assigned areas of responsibility; special events; work assignments; and public education assignments. It is the responsibility and duty of the employee to complete the assignment(s). Stand at ready time will begin at 1700 hours on all days except for Sundays and Holidays listed in Section 7.2b when stand at ready time will begin at 0900 hours.
Normal Business Day. Monday through Friday inclusive, except for the North American 13 Electric Reliability Council (NERC) Holidays (currently New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 14 Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day).

  • Personal Business Day On April 01 of each fiscal year, one (1) day (eight (8) hours) of paid leave will be credited to employees for use in personal or special circumstances. At no time will an employee have a credit of more than ten (10) Personal Business Days. The granting of such personal leave will be subject to normal approval by supervision subject to operational requirements, and will not be unreasonably withheld. Upon termination of employment with the Company, unused day(s) will be paid off at the employee's current salary in effect at the time.

  • Business Day For purposes of these By-Laws, “Business Day” shall mean any day other than a Saturday, a Sunday or a day on which banking institutions in the State of New York are authorized or obligated by law or executive order to close.

  • Day not a Business Day If any day on or before which any action or notice is required to be taken or given hereunder is not a Business Day, then such action or notice shall be required to be taken or given on or before the requisite time on the next succeeding day that is a Business Day.

  • Saturday Work A day worker required to work overtime on a Saturday shall be afforded at least four hours work or paid for four hours at the rate of time and one half for the first three hours and double time thereafter, except where the overtime is continuous with overtime commenced on the previous day.

  • Day Unless otherwise stated, reference to the terms "day," "days," "month," or "months" mean calendar day, calendar days, calendar month, and calendar months, respectively.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.

  • Weekdays All work performed outside of the designated shift Monday through Friday shall be paid at time and one-half (1-1/2) the straight-time hourly wage rate.

  • Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday (a) For an employee whose workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays fall on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement; and when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.
