Nonprofit Corporation. The Academy shall be organized and operated as a public school academy corporation organized under the Michigan Nonprofit Corporation Act, as amended, Act No. 162 of the Public Acts of 1982, being Sections 450.2101 to 450.3192 of the Michigan Compiled Laws. Notwithstanding any provision of the Michigan Nonprofit Corporation Act, as amended, the Academy shall not take any action inconsistent with the provisions of Part 6A of the Code or other Applicable Law.

Nonprofit Corporation. (a) The board by resolution may authorize the creation of a nonprofit corporation to assist and act for the district in implementing a project or providing a service authorized by this chapter.

The Eight Mile Boulevard Association (“8MBA”) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on improving and facilitating the improvement of the Eight Mile corridor between Xxxxx and Oakland Counties, including the Intersection. 8MBA will provide project support as directed by the Local Communities via administrative, project management/coordination, reporting, and fiduciary services. This support is described in detail in Exhibits noted herein.
