Nondiscrimination and Payment of a Living Wage. The Contractor shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws regarding discrimination, including those set forth in this Section. During performance of the Contract, the Contractor agrees that it will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of the employee or applicant's sex, race, color, marital status, national origin, religious affiliation, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression or age except by minimum age and retirement provisions, unless based upon a bona fide occupational qualification. The Contractor will make equal employment opportunity efforts to ensure that applicants and employees are treated equitably, without regard to their sex, race, color, marital status, national origin, religious affiliation, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression or age. In accordance with King County Ordinance 17909, as a condition of award for contracts for services with an initial or amended value of $100,000 or more, the Contractor agrees that it shall pay and require all Subcontractors to pay a living wage as described in the ordinance, to employees for each hour the employee performs a Measurable Amount of Work on this Contract.   • Nondiscrimination The Contractor, with regard to the work performed by it during the Contract, will not discriminate on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in the selection and retention of subcontractors, including procurements of materials and leases of equipment. The Contractor will not participate directly or indirectly in the discrimination prohibited by the Acts and the Regulations, including employment practices when the Contract covers any activity, project, or program set forth in Appendix B of 49 CFR Part 21.

  • Nondiscrimination - ADA Compliance Contractor agrees to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, with Section V of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and with all applicable requirements of federal and state civil rights and rehabilitation statutes, rules and regulations. Contractor also shall comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, as amended by the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008 and any subsequent amendments (42 U.S.C. § 12101, et seq.) (Pub No. 101-336), ORS 659A, and all regulations and administrative rules established pursuant to those laws. Contractor agrees to comply with ADA in its employment and nondiscrimination practices, and that it shall perform its contractual obligations consistent with ADA federal requirements/regulations, state disability and accessibility law and requirements, and applicable regulations and administrative rules established pursuant to those laws.

  • Freedom from Discrimination 9.01 The Union, the Employer, and the employees agree that there shall be no discrimination, interference, restriction, or coercion exercised or practiced with respect to any employee by reason of race, ethnic origin, colour, ancestry, citizenship, place of origin, creed, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, family status, pregnancy, disability, lawful source of income, conviction for an offence for which a pardon has been granted, or union membership or activity or for exercising their rights under the Agreement.

  • Non-Discrimination in Benefits Grantee does not as of the date of this Agreement and will not during the term of this Agreement, in any of its operations in San Francisco or where the work is being performed for the City or elsewhere within the United States, discriminate in the provision of bereavement leave, family medical leave, health benefits, membership or membership discounts, moving expenses, pension and retirement benefits or travel benefits, as well as any benefits other than the benefits specified above, between employees with domestic partners and employees with spouses, and/or between the domestic partners and spouses of such employees, where the domestic partnership has been registered with a governmental entity pursuant to state or local law authorizing such registration, subject to the conditions set forth in Section 12B.2(b) of the San Francisco Administrative Code.
