NON-TEACHING DUTIES. A. The Committee and the Association agree that a teacher's primary responsibility is to teach. It must be remembered, however, that in addition to that primary purpose there are other responsibilities within the School that must be assumed by teachers. The Committee and the Association recognize that paraeducators, clerical employees are useful and necessary in order to implement teaching. The Committee, having made provisions for paraeducators, will continue to work toward the improvement of this situation.
NON-TEACHING DUTIES. 14.1 The Board and the Association recognize that a teacher’s primary responsibility is to teach and that the teachers’ energies should be utilized to that end. Within budgetary limitations, efforts should be made to reduce the non-student contact duties through the use of paraeducators and part-time clerical assistants so that the teacher will have more time to devote to teaching activities.

NON-TEACHING DUTIES. The District agrees to make every effort to reduce non-teaching duties that do not best use a teacher’s presence and skills, through the use of teacher aides.
NON-TEACHING DUTIES. A teacher will not be required to drive pupils to school connected activities which take place away from the school building. A teacher may do so voluntarily, however, with the advance approval of his/her principal or immediate supervisor.
NON-TEACHING DUTIES. Part-time teachers may be assigned non-teaching duties proportionate to full-time teachers.
NON-TEACHING DUTIES. A. The Association recognizes that teachers have a responsibility to pupils and to the profession which requires performance of supervisory duties within the school day and duties outside the classroom that involve expenditures of time beyond that provided in the minimum work day. Further, the Association acknowledges that many clerical functions are inherent with teaching, especially if the highly professional and confidential relationship with the student is to be preserved.
NON-TEACHING DUTIES. Non-teaching duties will be determined in conjunction with the building administrator(s) and job share teachers. The duty schedule will be proportional to the length of the teaching day. This will be included in the plan.
