Non-Emergency. Company shall not pay for charges incurred for use of a Hospital's outpatient facilities, supplies and equipment in connection with elective minor Surgical Services, non- Emergency Services or health Services that could be received in a Physician's office. Services in the emergency setting must meet the definition of Emergency. The Company reserves the right to audit and review the claim retrospectively to validate the nature of the condition for which services were provided. The Company shall not pay for non-Emergency use of the Hospital's emergency facilities, unless the condition is urgent and treatment is unavailable elsewhere at the time.

Non-Emergency. We will evaluate non-emergent Prior Authorization requests and advise you and your Practitioner/Provider of our decision within seven (7) working days after receiving all needed information. Prior Authorization Decision – Expedited (Accelerated) If your medical condition requires that we make a Prior Authorization decision quickly, we will notify you and your Practitioner/Provider of an expedited decision, within 24 hours of our receipt of the written or verbal request for an expedited decision.
Non-Emergency. A non-emergency includes, but is not limited to, general/routine repairs, preventative maintenance, upgrades, inspection, testing and certification. Contractor must respond by the timeframe specified on the Work Order solicitation from the County. Upon the County’s approval of a bid, the selected Contractor must begin Work and onsite presence within three Business Days, or as otherwise mutually agreed.

The NEMT manager arranges and pays for rides to covered Medicaid services for members who have no other way to receive a ride. Rides can include public transportation such as a city bus, non-emergency ground ambulance, rides in specialized medical vehicles (SMV), or rides in other types of vehicles depending on a member’s medical transportation needs, as well as compensated use of private motor vehicles for transportation to and from BadgerCare Plus and Medicaid SSI covered services. Non-emergency medical transportation also includes coverage of meals and lodging in accordance with the ForwardHealth policy. Members needing non-emergency medical transportation services should be directed to the DHS NEMT manager. The HMO must promptly provide or arrange for the provision of all NEMT ambulance services not reimbursed by the DHS NEMT manager listed in the ForwardHealth Online Handbook Topic #11898.

Non-Emergency. Medical Transportation (NEMT) The CONTRACTOR shall complete ninety percent (90%) of eligible General NEMT trips upon request to and/or from medically necessary covered services annually. General NEMT is any NEMT that excludes the critical care population. An eligible NEMT trip is to and/or from a medically necessary service. For purposes of this DSIPT, CONTRACTOR performance shall be calculated and reported as follows: NUMERATOR: Eligible NEMT trips completed to and/or from medically necessary services DENOMINATOR: Total eligible NEMT trips to and/or from medically necessary services. An eligible General NEMT trip is defined as each one-way trip, from one destination to another. For example, a round trip counts as two trips. The CONTRACTOR shall provide monthly reports to HCA that include the CONTRACTOR’s completed NEMT trip performance and detailed information about the reasons for NEMT trips that were not completed, including, but not limited to: trips that could not be scheduled or accommodated and no-shows or cancellations by the NEMT provider. The monthly reports shall also include an analysis of trends observed. The monthly reports are due to HCA fifteen (15) Calendar Days after the end of each month.
