Providing fair and equitable treatment for all employees is best achieved in an environment where all individuals interact with mutual respect for each other’s rights. All employees are expected to treat all persons with courtesy and consideration and must not engage in discrimination or harassment because of a prohibited ground contrary to the Ontario Human Rights Code. Non Discrimination and Non Harassment. 1.1 The Union and the Employer agree they shall not discriminate against any applicant or employee in hiring, promotions, assignments, recall or lay off status, because of race, color, ancestry, religion, creed, national origin, age, sex, disability (as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act), maternity status or sexual orientation. No employee or applicant for employment covered by this Agreement shall be discriminated against because of membership in the Union or activities on behalf of the Union. Whenever the masculine gender is used in the Agreement it shall be deemed to include the feminine gender and vice versa as the case may be.

The weekend shift would comprise of two (2) twelve hour (12) shifts to occur one on a Saturday, and one on a Sunday (unless a holiday weekend, see number 15). The Company reserves the right to alter the hours of the weekend shift in order to meet production requirements. We will attempt to give as much notice as possible to the employees affected.
Non Discrimination and Non Harassment. 8.1. In the application of provisions of this Agreement or Urban Prep regulations and policies affecting terms and conditions of employment, there shall be no discrimination by Urban Prep in its recruitment programs, hiring practices, dismissal procedures, or in other aspects of the employment relationship, nor shall Urban Prep discriminate against any Bargaining Unit Member on the basis of race, creed, color, age, sex, national origin, marital status, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, civil Union status, domestic partnership status, parental status, genetic information, refusal to submit to a genetic test or make available the results of a genetic test, the utilization of benefits authorized by this Agreement or Urban Prep policy, or membership or participation in, or association with the activities of the Union. Urban Prep will comply with all the applicable employment discrimination laws and will maintain a comprehensive process to investigate complaints and concerns regarding discrimination and retaliation. However, nothing in this Article shall constitute a waiver of a bargaining unit employee’s rights to bring a discrimination claim to an appropriate government agency, or in a court of competent jurisdiction.

  • NON-DISCRIMINATION/HARASSMENT 3.01 Both the Company and the Union are committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination and harassment. Employees must not engage in discrimination or harassment because of prohibited ground contrary to the Ontario Human Rights Code (the “Code”).   • NON-DISCRIMINATION 1. Nationals of a Contracting State shall not be subjected in the other Contracting State to any taxation or any requirement connected therewith, which is other or more burdensome than the taxation and connected requirements to which nationals of that other State in the same circumstances, in particular with respect to residence, are or may be subjected. This provision shall, notwithstanding the provisions of Article 1, also apply to persons who are not residents of one or both of the Contracting States.

The CONSULTANT agrees to abide by Utah's Executive Order, dated June 30, 1989, which prohibits sexual harassment in the work place. Sections 49 CFR 21 through Appendix C (2016) and 23 CFR 710.405(b) (2016) are applicable by reference in all contracts and subcontracts financed in whole or in part with Federal-aid highway funds. The CONSULTANT further agrees to furnish reports to the LOCAL AUTHORITY or DEPARTMENT upon request for the purpose of determining compliance with these statutes identified in this section. The CONSULTANT shall comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The CONSULTANT shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex in the performance of this contract. The CONSULTANT shall carry out applicable requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 (2016) in the award and administration of federal-aid contracts. Failure by the CONSULTANT to carry out these requirements is a material breach of this contract, which may result in the termination of this contract or such other remedy as the DEPARTMENT deems appropriate. During the performance of this contract, the CONSULTANT, for itself, its assignees and successors in interest agrees as follows:

  • Non-Discrimination Ordinance Contractor shall not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, gender expression, gender identity, religion, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, or disability in the solicitation, selection, hiring or treatment of subcontractors, vendors or suppliers. Contractor shall provide equal opportunity for subcontractors to participate in subcontracting opportunities. Contractor understands and agrees that violation of this clause shall be considered a material breach of the Contract and may result in Contract termination, debarment, or other sanctions. Contractor shall ensure that this language is included in contracts between Contractor and any subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.

  • DISCRIMINATION / HARASSMENT 22.01 The parties agree to comply with their obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code.

  • ANTI DISCRIMINATION AND ANTI HARASSMENT Contractor and/or any subcontractor shall not unlawfully discriminate against or harass any individual including, but not limited to, any employee or volunteer of the County of Marin based on race, color, religion, nationality, sex, sexual orientation, age or condition of disability. Contractor and/or any subcontractor understands and agrees that Contractor and/or any subcontractor is bound by and will comply with the anti discrimination and anti harassment mandates of all Federal, State and local statutes, regulations and ordinances including, but not limited to, County of Marin Personnel Management Regulation (PMR) 21.

  • DISCRIMINATION AND COERCION A. The Employer and the Union agree that there shall be no discrimination against any employee because of age, race, creed, color, religion, marital status, sex, national origin, political affiliation, sexual preference and physical or mental handicap.
