Common use of Non-Discrimination and Equal Opportunity Clause in Contracts

Non-Discrimination and Equal Opportunity. In accordance with applicable law, neither the Employer nor the Union shall discriminate in a manner which would violate federal and state laws against any employee covered by this Agreement because of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, mental or physical handicap, political beliefs, marital status, union activities and/or affiliation. The parties recognize the Employer's obligation to comply with applicable Federal and State laws relative to equal employment and affirmative action.
