– Non-bargaining unit substitute. An outside substitute is a non-bargaining unit person assigned to fill a position for which a current bargaining unit member is absent or for a bargaining unit position which is currently vacant. Employer rights to hire a substitute shall be limited only by the terms of this Agreement.
– Non-bargaining unit substitute. A non-bargaining unit employee who is occupying a position during the process of filling a vacancy or who is substituting for a bargaining unit member who is absent and has a return right to the position.
– Non-bargaining unit substitute. A non-bargaining unit substitute employed to fill in for any bargaining unit employee will be paid at a rate set annually by the School Board. In the event the substitute is a former employee, he/she will be paid the greater of their old pay rate or an amount not to exceed two dollars ($2.00) per hour above the Base Wage of the level for which they are subbing.
