No Tell Leave. 1. Each unit member will be able to use three (3) days of sick leave per year without naming a reason for the absence (no tell). These days may not be carried over from year to year. They may not be used for non student contact days or to extend three-day weekends. These days must receive advanced approval by administrators. These days may also not be used for concerted association activity.

No Tell Leave. A faculty member may maintain confidentiality by declining to state the details of personal or business leave. Advance notice is required, except in an emergency situation.
No Tell Leave. 7.3.1 Three of the seven days (or a total of 24 hours for 12-month, 40-hour employees) will be available for personal necessity and may be used due to reasons of a personal nature, and will be referred to as “No Tell” days. No Tell hours for less than 12-month, 40-hour employees shall be prorated based on their regular work assignment. The employee may maintain confidentiality by declining to state the nature of the personal necessity leave request. Advance notice to the supervisor is required, except in emergencies.

  • Civil Leave Section 1. The Employer recognizes the responsibility of its employees to fulfill their civic duties as jurors and witnesses in court proceedings. The Employer agrees therefore to grant civil leave with pay to permanent employees:

  • Casual Leave (a) Employees may be granted casual leave with pay to a maximum of two (2) hours for the following purposes:

  • General Leave Notwithstanding any provision for leave in this Agreement, the Employer may grant a leave of absence without pay to an employee requesting leave for an emergency or other unusual circumstances. A leave of absence may also be granted for any other reason in which case approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. All requests and approvals for leave shall be in writing. Upon request, the Employer will give reasons orally for withholding approval.

  • Medical Leave Pursuant to applicable provisions of the Civil Service Rules, County Code, and other law, medical leaves of absence will be granted by the employee’s Department Head upon request only upon submission of a doctor’s certificate or other satisfactory medical evidence of the employee’s need for such leave.

  • Legal Leave 19.12.1The University shall grant leave of absence with pay to a member of faculty who is called to serve as a juror or a witness in a court of law in a matter in which he/she is not a party or an accused.

  • INJURY LEAVE In the event an unusual circumstance exists regarding the original six (6) months of injury leave, and the employee did not use injury leave hours due to the injury or did not lose work time, the Fire Chief with the approval of the Human Resources Director may extend such injury leave. However, under no circumstances shall the total time granted be greater than twelve (12) months of injury leave, or an actual six (6) months of lost work time because of the injury.

  • Funeral Leave Section 30.1 In the event of the death of a parent, spouse, child, sister, brother, mother-in- law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent of the Employee or spouse, grandchild of the Employee, or “xxxxxx” or “step” situations within these relationships, the Employee shall be allowed a leave of absence with pay of two (2) consecutive (eight or ten hour) workdays.

  • Xxxx Leave For laid off employees, sick leave accruals shall remain on the books and be reinstated if such employees are reappointed. Whenever a person becomes ineligible for reemployment and such person has not been re-employed, then, if at the point of layoff such person was eligible to receive a sick leave accrual payoff, such person shall be paid for existing sick leave accruals in accordance with Section 1408 of this Agreement.

  • Other Leave Granting of leave is a matter between the employees and the mill management. The Company will consider length of service and will endeavour to arrange leave of absence to suit the employee's wishes. Employees with ten or more years service will be given special consideration.
