Resident Nurse A registered nurse whose clinical experience after graduation is less than six (6) months, or a registered nurse who is returning to practice with no current clinical training or experience. A resident nurse shall be assigned under the close and direct supervision of a designated preceptor(s) and shall have limited responsibilities as defined by the supervisor. Residency shall not exceed six (6) continuous months unless extended in writing for an additional three (3) months when mutually agreed to by the Employer and individual nurse involved. A resident nurse who is required to function continuously without close and direct supervision and who is assigned the same level of responsibilities as a staff nurse shall be compensated at the staff nurse rate of pay. Nurses working under close and direct supervision shall not be assigned charge duty or as a team leader without a staff nurse being present in the unit, except in cases of emergency.

Registered Office and Resident Agent The Registered Office and Resident Agent of the Company shall be as designated in the initial Articles of Organization/Certificate of Organization or any amendment thereof. Liability of Resident The Resident is liable for any damage to the building structure, fittings, fixtures, finishes, furniture and equipment comprising the Resident’s Room, except only if such damage is caused by the proven negligence of the Institution or the Manager. The Resident is liable for any damage to the building structure, fittings, finishes, furniture and equipment beyond the confines of the Resident’s Room should the damage arise from the negligence or willful act of the Resident. The Manager and the Institution do not assume any responsibility for personal property that is lost, stolen or damaged from any cause. The Resident is strongly encouraged to obtain insurance to cover the above liabilities. Residence does not purchase such protection for personal property. The Resident must also take positive steps to ensure their safety by locking Room doors, and ensuring that only authorized persons enter their Room, suite and/or the building.

Multiple Residents Each resident of an Apartment is jointly and severally liable with the other residents of the Apartment for all lease obligations relating to Common Areas and utilities; however, only you are liable for the lease obligations relating to your bedspace and the payment of your Rental Installments.
