Newly Employed Represented Employees. Represented employees required to wear safety shoes may acquire safety shoes and use their annual safety shoes voucher during the month of January each year. Represented employees newly employed shall be provided an opportunity to acquire safety shoes and use the safety shoe voucher within thirty (30) days of their first day of work and during each following January.

Newly Employed Represented Employees. Newly employed represented employees that are required to wear safety shoes shall be provided a safety shoe voucher within thirty (30) days of their first day of work and during each following January in accordance with 5.7.4.1.

  • Deceased Employees The employer may approve a cash payment equivalent to the two lots of two weeks' salary to the widow, widower or if no surviving spouse exists, to dependent child(ren) or to the estate, of a deceased employee who had qualified for long service leave but who had neither taken nor forfeited it under these rules. This payment will be in addition to any grant made under the Retirement Gratuity Provisions specified in this Agreement.

  • Active/Inactive Employee If you are covered under another plan as an active employee, your benefits and those of your dependents under that plan will be determined before benefits under this plan. The plan covering the active employee and dependents will be the primary plan. The plan covering that same employee as inactive (including those who are retired or have been laid off) will be the secondary plan for that employee and dependents.

  • Day Employees If a day employee is scheduled to work more than nine and one-half (9 ½) continuous hours, the Company will provide a meal if requested. A second meal, if requested, will be provided if the employee works more than thirteen and one- half (13 ½) continuous hours. A lunch period of one-half (1/2) hour without pay will be allowed. Meals will be provided if an employee is called into work on such short notice that the employee is unable to provide their own meal. For the purpose of this Article, lunch periods shall not be considered to interrupt continuous hours.

  • Summer Employment 26.1 In selecting teaching staffs for summer programs, employment shall be offered to teachers who are certified and “Highly Qualified” in the subject area(s).
