New Year’s Day. Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day or days locally observed as such by the State, and Saturday and Sunday shall be recognized as holidays. All work performed on holidays shall be paid as follows: holidays and Sundays shall be paid at two (2) times the regular rate of pay; Saturday work shall be paid at one and one-half (1 1/2) times the regular rate of pay.

New Year’s Day. When New Year’s Day is a Saturday or a Sunday, an additional holiday will be observed on the next Monday.
New Year’s Day. For tour workers, the mill will operate through New Year’s Day. The shift scheduled to work that day, as per the shift schedule, will be required to attend work. The Christmas and Boxing Day shutdown period will be extended by twenty-four (24) hours and this day will be considered the New Year’s Day statutory holiday for all tour workers. Each year, before the end of January, management will, after consultation with the Union, establish shutdown time for the Christmas holiday period which will be either 6:00 p.m. December 23 to 6:00 p.m. December 26 or 6:00 p.m. December 24 to 6:00 p.m. December 27.

New Year’s Day. Family Day, Good Friday; Easter Monday; Victoria Day; Canada Day; Civic Holiday; Labour Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day and Boxing Day shall be recognized holidays. Should the municipal, provincial or federal government legally proclaim any day as an additional Holiday, then one of the float holidays as defined under Article 10.11 will become redundant and be assigned to that specific holiday. The specific holiday will be automatically added to 9.01.
