New Shifts. The Employer agrees that, before new shifts or shift rotations are introduced, the change will be discussed with the employees who will be affected, at least one (1) month in advance.
New Shifts. If the Employer establishes any new shifts outside of the existing shift schedule, jobs on the new shifts will be put up for bid. If the jobs cannot be filled within a period of thirty (30) days through the bidding process, the Employer may assign employees to those shifts from the existing work force (beginning with the least senior employees), or from outside the work force.

  • Work Shift The hours an employee is scheduled to work each workday in a workweek.

  • Hour Shift An eight (8) hour tour shall be inclusive of an unpaid one-half (1/2) hour meal period, and two fifteen (15) minute paid relief periods.
