New Salary Rate. Employees who receive portability or benefits under Clause 29.01 shall be placed on the appropriate salary scale at their new place of employment in accordance with the following:

New Salary Rate. In the event of a permanent promotion, the employee will receive a new classification anniversary date effective the date of the promotion, and the employee will be placed at the pay step in the new classification which results, over the course of a regularly-worked new classification year, in at least a $450.00 increase in salary from the salary level the employee was earning just prior to the promotion.
