New Probation. An employee on new probation may be released at the sole discretion of the department at any time without right of appeal or hearing except that where an employee alleges his or her release was the result of discrimination by the County in violation of Article XVII, NONDISCRIMINATION, the employee may submit a grievance at Step 3 of the grievance procedure within ten (10) days after receipt by the employee of notice of failure of new probation.
