New Employee Union Orientation. A new employee will be provided with a copy of the Collective Agreement, and will be introduced to her/his job xxxxxxx as part of her/his orientation to the department. In addition, the Corporation agrees that a representative of the Union will be given an opportunity to address collectively, on a once per month basis (if required), all new bargaining unit employees to a department during regular working hours, without loss of pay, for a period of up to one (1) hour. The purpose of the meeting is to acquaint new employees with the benefits and duties of Union membership and employees’ responsibilities and obligations to the Corporation and the Union. The time and location of the meeting will be subject to approval by management.
New Employee Union Orientation. District Human Resources shall notify the designated Union Representative within the first two weeks from a new hire’s start date to allow the scheduling of a 60 minute union orientation within the new employee’s first 30 days of employment. If a work-location orientation is not feasible, the union shall be offered 60 minutes to conduct the orientation by electronic means or as part of the district’s orientation agenda.
New Employee Union Orientation a) Within thirty (30) days of hire, employees shall normally be expected to attend a New Employee Orientation (“NEO”) program presented by the County Human Resources (“HR”)
New Employee Union Orientation. All new employees of the bargaining unit shall be advised by the Hospital at the time of their employment of the Agreement between the Hospital and the Union and will be provided with a copy of this Agreement. The Hospital will furnish the Union the names and addresses of all newly hired bargaining unit employees showing date of hire. A representative of the Meriter Hospital Nurses Council shall be granted thirty (30) minutes without loss of pay for Union orientation during every orientation class for bargaining unit employees. The content of this presentation and any materials which the Union wishes to distribute will be reviewed upon the Employer’s request. The Union agrees to notify the Hospital in advance in writing of any changes made in the materials. No material detrimental to the Employer or the Union shall be presented. If a Union representative is unable to attend the scheduled session, the Employer agrees to distribute the approved materials. Employees may voluntarily choose to attend this session.
New Employee Union Orientation. At new employee orientations there shall be set aside a time consistent with Vermont statute for a representative of the Union to discuss Union membership and the Union contract with all bargaining unit employees in attendance. Bargaining unit employees who request to opt out shall not be required to participate. The Union Co-presidents, or designee, shall have one hour of paid time per week to attend these orientations. Interpreters will be provided if needed and if available.
New Employee Union Orientation. With prior supervisor approval regarding when the employees can take time from work duties, a designated union representative shall receive 30 minutes on paid time to conduct a new member orientation, provided the time does not unreasonably detract from their work performance. The purpose of this orientation shall be to inform the member about the collective bargaining agreement and to discuss their options for membership status as outlined in section 4.1 of this article.

Within thirty (30) days of employment, new employees and a Union Xxxxxxx or designee will be granted at least thirty (30) minutes but no more than one hundred twenty (120) minutes of paid time for introductions and to welcome the new employee. Such formal orientation may be conducted in conjunction with the Employer’s new employee orientation and the Union will be notified at least ten (10) days in advance of the Employer’s new employee orientation. If no such orientation is conducted, or the employee is unable to attend such orientation, within the first thirty

The Union shall be allowed 60 minutes to meet with new employees before or at the start of the first semester for the purpose of presenting information about the Union at a mutually agreeable time. For employees hired during the semester, the Employer will schedule 60 minutes of mutually agreed upon meeting time during the semester in which new members are hired for the new employee(s) and the Union to meet during the work day. This meeting should not disrupt the learning environment. There shall be no loss of pay for any participating employees. Meeting time under this section will not count towards reserved meeting time under Article 4.5. All new employees eligible for representation by the Union shall be provided a communication from the Union, along with a union dues card, at the time of their onboarding. The Union shall be responsible for the collection of union dues cards from new employees.

For employees hired during the semester, the Employer will schedule 60 minutes of mutually agreed upon meeting time within the semester in which they are hired for the new employee and the Union to meet during the workday outside the instructional time. The meeting should not disrupt the learning environment. There shall be no loss of pay for any participating employees. Meeting time under this Section will not count towards meeting time under Section 4.4.
