Netiquette. You are expected to abide by the general accepted rules of network etiquette. These include, but are not limited to, the following.
Netiquette. Users should always use the internet, network resources, and online sites in a courteous and respectful manner. Users should recognize that among the valuable content online there is also unverified, incorrect, or inappropriate content. Users should only use trusted sources when conducting research via the internet. Users should remember not to post anything online that they wouldn’t want students, parents, teachers, or future colleges or employers to see. Once something is online, it cannot be completely retracted and can sometimes be shared and spread in ways the user never intended.

Netiquette. I will be courteous and use appropriate language in my digital communications including, but not limited to, email messages and online postings. I will refrain from using profane, vulgar, sexually explicit, harassing or abusive language and will report any cases of such usage against me to a member of the SJLC staff. I will not use technology to demean, threaten others or spread rumors (including cyber bullying), whether they are other students, teachers, staff or parents. I understand that I am an ambassador for the College in all my online activities. I understand that what I do online should not reflect negatively on my fellow students, teachers, or on SJLC. I will not post content anonymously.

Do not become abusive in your messages to others. Use appropriate language. Do not swear, use vulgarities or any other inappropriate language. Do not reveal your full name, personal address, phone number, or password or those of other students or colleagues. Do not share your account with others. Do not use the network in a way that would disrupt other users. Note that electronic mail (email) is not guaranteed to be private. People who operate the system do have access to all mail. Do notify an adult immediately, if by accident, you encounter materials which violate appropriate use.
Netiquette. Users should understand that the internet is a vastly expansive network, and anything, and everything you put online will remain in some form. Users should not put anything including but not limited to, text, pictures, and documents online that they would not want parents, teachers, or future colleges or employers to see.
