National Strategy. The Council will develop and maintain a network of education, recruitment and retention specialists, where best practices, successes and lessons learned can be shared and discussed. The Council will work with partners to develop and facilitate a national plan for recruitment, retention and reengagement of hunters and shooting sports enthusiasts. The Council will identify and provide communication and outreach strategies to the Member that can be used nationally or by the Member and the wildlife conservation, hunting, trapping and shooting sports communities to positively influence participation in hunting, trapping and the shooting sports. The Council agrees not to influence or attempt to influence any officer or employee of any agency, a Member of Congress, and officer or employee of Congress, or an employee of a Member of Congress in connection with the awarding of any Federal contract, the making of any Federal grant, the making of any Federal loan, the entering into of any cooperative agreement, and the extension, continuation, renewal, amendment, or modification of any Federal contract, grant, loan, or cooperative agreement.

  • Preference for American Industry Notwithstanding any other provision of this clause, the Performer agrees that it shall not grant to any person the exclusive right to use or sell any subject invention in the United States unless such person agrees that any product embodying the subject invention or produced through the use of the subject invention shall be manufactured substantially in the United States. However, in individual cases, the requirements for such an agreement may be waived by DARPA upon a showing by the Performer that reasonable but unsuccessful efforts have been made to grant licenses on similar terms to potential licensees that would be likely to manufacture substantially in the United States or that, under the circumstances, domestic manufacture is not commercially feasible.
