National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification. Teachers who receive certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) shall receive, in addition to all other salary and differential payments due to said teachers, a sum of $4,000 in each year the teacher holds the certification.
National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification. 28.5.8.1 The District will provide $1,000 in fee support for unit members who achieve certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Teachers will also be compensated at $1,000 per year from the second year of certification until expiration.

The Board shall pay a one-time stipend in the gross amount of $500.00 to each teacher who has obtained a teaching certificate or license issued by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (a NBPTS certificate), provided that, to receive payment in accordance with this provision, a teacher must have filed an application, and a copy of his/her NBPTS certificate, in the office of the Treasurer. Stipends due hereunder shall be paid within a reasonable time following such filing.
National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification. 36.14.1 A Teacher who is a certified classroom Teacher, and who achieves National Board certification, shall receive a non-pensionable, one-time bonus of $4,000, provided:

For bargaining unit members who apply for certification through the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) the Board shall provide to employees an amount equal to 50% of any grants or similar funds received from state or federal sources towards the application cost of said program. In addition, the Board shall reimburse employees upon receipt of the NBPTS certificate 50% of the net application fee (net of the total amount of any state or federal reimbursement). In addition, teachers receiving NBPTS certification shall receive an honorarium of $1,500 for each year they hold NBPTS certifications. Teachers receiving the honorarium agree to conduct in-service/staff training workshops and serve as a mentor for other bargaining unit members applying for NBPTS certification.
National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification. 1. The Board will grant up to 3 days of paid professional leave over the three year certification period.

The Coventry School District and the Coventry Teachers Alliance believe in the value and importance of professional growth and development for teachers as essential in helping students achieve high standards. The District and the Alliance recognize the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards certification process as a highly effective means for teachers to engage in this essential professional development.
National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification. (5) For classroom teachers, overall evaluation rating of distinguished, proficient, basic or unsatisfactory (comprehensive or focused) in the last contract year.
National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification. The District will provide any teacher who is in possession of or who earns National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification, a $1,000 annual stipend for the life of the certificate.
National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification. Teachers who successfully complete National Board certification will receive a $1000 stipend for each year for ten years in addition to their step and any stipend paid by the state of Illinois.
