National Board Certification. Teachers who obtain certification from the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards shall receive a one-time payment of one thousand dollars ($1,000) in the next contract year after the teacher obtains such certification, provided the teacher serves as a teacher in the school district for the entire contract year in which the teacher would receive such payment.
