NAIDOC Week Leave. 71.1 Employees may utilise time off in lieu of overtime (TOIL), flextime credits or other flexible working arrangements to attend and participate in National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) week activities (e.g. NAIDOC March).
NAIDOC Week Leave. This is a new clause to support all employees to attend NAIDOC activities. The clause provides for employees to access up to three hours of time off in lieu of overtime (TOIL), or other flexible work arrangements to attend NAIDOC week activities. Where employees do not have access to these arrangements a CEO may approve up to three hours of paid leave to facilitate the attendance at NAIDOC week activities.

  • BEREAVEMENT/TANGIHANGA LEAVE 15.1 The employer shall approve special bereavement leave on pay for an employee to discharge any obligation and/or to pay respects to a deceased person with whom the employee has had a close association. Such obligations may exist because of blood or family ties or because of particular cultural requirements such as attendance at all or part of a Tangihanga (or its equivalent). The length of time off shall be at the discretion of the employer.

  • Annual Paid Sick Leave Fifteen (15) days sick leave per year shall be earned by an employee at the rate of 1.25 days for every month that an employee is employed.

  • Unused Sick Leave The accrual of unused sick leave hours is unlimited. The City and the Union commit to the evaluation and establishment of a mutually beneficial non-use of sick leave incentive and pay-out policy. Until such time that a policy is established, accumulated sick leave shall be compensated as follows: Upon retirement from the City service, an employee shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated sick leave, with the rate of payment based upon his regular pay at the time he retires. Upon the death of an employee, his beneficiary shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated unused sick leave, with the payment based upon his regular pay at the date of his death.

  • Xxxxx’s leave (1) An employee is entitled to use up to 10 days accrued personal leave each year to care for a member of his or her immediate family or a member of his or her household who is ill and requires his or her care. The employee is not entitled to take xxxxx’s leave for a particular period if another person has taken leave to care for the person for the same period.

  • Paid Sick Leave Employees shall earn and be granted paid sick leave according to the following provisions:
