NAIDOC Week. Upon application by an Aboriginal or Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander employee, the Chief Executive may approve time off without loss of pay for attendance at official celebrations and activities that occur during that week. The maximum time available to attend such functions shall be 10 hours in a calendar year.

NAIDOC Week a) NAIDOC Week will mean the week in July formally recognised as NAIDOC Week and during which NAIDOC Week activities occur.
NAIDOC Week. Employees may utilise time off in lieu of overtime (TOIL), flextime credits or other flexible working arrangements to attend and participate in National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) week activities (e.g., NAIDOC March). An employee must seek prior approval from their manager to utilise TOIL, flextime credits or other flexible working arrangements. Such requests should be supported, subject to an agency’s operational requirements. An employee who does not have access to TOIL, flextime or other flexible working arrangements may be granted paid leave. Subject to operational requirements, the CEO may approve up to 3 hours per year of paid leave to facilitate the employee’s attendance at NAIDOC week activities.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.

  • Four Day Work Week 26 1. If a holiday falls on an employee's first or second scheduled day 27 off, the preceding work day will be observed as that employee's holiday, or the 28 employee may choose to bank the holiday leave hours.

  • Basic Work Week (a) The basic work week of an employee working full-time shall be thirty-seven (37) hours to be worked as scheduled by the Company as follows: - Four (4) shifts of eight (8) hours and one (1) shift of five (5) hours; or - Two (2) shifts of eight (8) hours and three (3) shifts of seven (7) hours.

  • Compressed Work Week The Company and Union recognize the concept of the compressed work week. It is further understood that the compressed work week conditions will apply only to those departments that are on the compressed work week.

  • Work Day/Work Week 1. The work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days Monday through Friday of no more than eight (8) hours per day and no more than forty (40) hours per work week. This shall not restrict the extension of the employee’s usual and customary workday or workweek when such is necessary to carry on the business of the School District. Employees who actually work more than forty (40) hours per week will receive overtime pay (time-and-a-half).

  • Four Day Work Week Schedule i. When working under the four (4) day work week schedule, Employees shall be paid at double time (2x) the regular hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the regular ten (10) hours per day Monday through Thursday.

  • WORKING TEST PERIOD Section One. The Working Test Period shall be deemed an extension of the examination process. Therefore, a determination of unsatisfactory performance during a Working Test Period shall be tantamount to a failure of the competitive exam.

  • Holiday Week In the event that a holiday is celebrated during the week (Monday through Friday), the remaining four days of the week may be worked as a four ten shift at the straight time rate on a voluntary basis with three (3) days’ notice to the Union. In the event the job is down due to weather conditions, then Saturday may, at the option of the Employer be worked as a voluntary make-up day at the straight time rate.

  • Annual Paid Sick Leave Fifteen (15) days sick leave per year shall be earned by an employee at the rate of 1.25 days for every month that an employee is employed.

  • Normal Work Week The normal work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2) hours, and the normal daily hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours, exclusive of a meal period. The normal work week shall be Monday through Friday and the normal workday shall be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
